Client Interface Layer

Routing Layer

The heart of the mobile transaction platform (MTP) is the routing layer which routes every message using real-time analysis. It ensures that failover routes are provided, congestion avoided and that the appropriate traffic profile and prioritization is provided. In this way we're able to ensure optimal routes to meet agreed service levels and product features.

Operator Integration Layer

mBlox simplifies integration efforts for clients by managing the complexities of running multiple protocols and connection types within our platform. Using standardized mBlox integration architecture, we deploy new operator connections and failover routes that meet industry-standard and proprietary protocols, without interruptions to client connectivity.

SS7 Layer

mBlox also has direct connectivity into the international SS7 telecommunications network (SS7) where almost all telecoms and SMS messaging traffic is routed - Through connecting directly to the SS7 layer, we need not route through domestic operators. This gives us greater flexibility, reliability and cost advantages that we can pass onto our customers.

Besides connecting into many mobile network operators, we manage and operate our own carrier-grade short message service centers (SMSCs) and carrier-grade "BigTxt" virtual mobile redirector (VMR) platforms which are both directly connected to the SS7 network.

mBlox operates its own SS7 equipment instead of sharing additional bandwidth on operators' platforms. This allows us to offer unparalleled service levels and product features, supporting your application-to-person (A2P) traffic and providing high-volume solutions.

Enterprise Layer

Wrapped around our core routing and switching layer is the enterprise architecture. This provides the monitoring, administration, reporting, mediation and billing features required to support mBlox's core technology and our customers' needs. Separating this enterprise layer from the mobile transaction platform effectively eliminates the risk of mBlox business processes interfering with the important task of getting your messages through reliably and consistently every hour of every day.
